SUMMER SKILLS CLINIC
WITH COACH CHRIS LAMB | JUNE 8

CCJ will offer a Summer Skills Clinic on June 8 to sharpen training skills and provide exposure to a Division I college volleyball coaching staff.  The Clinic will be led by Wichita State Head Coach Chris Lamb, focusing on first contact skills and setting/attacking skills over multiple sessions.  

 

Chris Lamb enters his 24th season as the head volleyball coach at Wichita State University in 2023.  He has led the Shockers to at least 20 wins in 15 out of the last 20 seasons, and was the National Coach of the Year by Volleyball Magazine in 2017.   Lamb’s career record stands at an impressive 482-228 following the 2022 season.  Lamb has eight years of extensive collegiate camp experience (1990-98), having worked at eight different schools, including Arizona, Pacific and Stanford. He has also been active working for the Junior Olympics All-American selection committee and as a coach for both the USA Olympic Festival tryouts and the USA Junior Elite tryouts.

There will be Middle School (14U-12U) Sessions and High School (18U-15U) Sessions on June 8, 2023 at the Sporting Chance Center.  All athletes will be grouped by skill level and work on general and position-specific training, including competitive drills.  This clinic is recommended for any athlete that wants to sharpen their skills before Nationals and/or prepare for the upcoming high school season with technical training led by a collegiate coach.

The Summer Skills Clinic is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

 

The sessions will be Thursday, June 8 at the Sporting Chance Center, located at 2100 W. Curtis Road.

HIGH SCHOOL GROUP (18U-15U)

The High School group is specifically designed for 18U-15U athletes and in 12th-9th grade.

• SESSION I: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM

• SESSION II: 2:30-4:30 PM

• SESSION III: 6:00-8:00 PM (Competition Skills)

• ENROLLMENT CAP:  64 athletes

• SESSION COST: $150/player

MIDDLE SCHOOL GROUP (14U-12U)

The Middle School group is specifically designed for 14U-12U athletes and in 8th-6th grade.

• SESSION I: 8:30-10:00 AM

• SESSION II: 1:00-2:30 PM

• ENROLLMENT CAP:  80 athletes

• SESSION COST: $75/player
